Gary Wilson is a good friend of mine who owns this very pretty Cessna 175 Skylark, lovingly called "Thunder Chicken"! Gary has been wanting some good photos of his plane for a long time, so we made it happen.
Mike, Gary, and I met at Gary's hangar early in the morning. When the sun was coming up, we had the planes warming up. Gary took off and we followed him into the air. We synced up over the San Gabriel River and I was soon giving directions and taking photos.
Gary was having some radio issues, but our safety briefing before the flight worked perfectly. At one point Gary couldn't understand what we were telling him and he broke off the flight. Once we regained communication, we teamed up again and took some more photos.
Nice flight with friends, nice plane, and good photos! What else could you ask for?!!
