Travis Latham in his Cessna 140A

Travis and I are close friends and have flown halfway across the country together.  I've taken many photos of his beautiful 140A and his previous plane, a perfect example of a Luscombe 8A over the last few years.  They usually start off with me saying, "Hold your heading and altitude, I'm coming over to take you photo!"  This results in photos that are okay, but to get a great air-to-air photo shoot, you need to plan in advance.  I decided the time had come and asked Travis to let me get some photos.

I took off and flew around for awhile while Travis and his son Andrew got the plane ready to fly.  Once they were airborne, I quickly dropped into place and we headed to the East of the lake.  Once we were a few miles East of the lake, we turned West into the setting sun.

Travis lined up perfectly and I started snapping photos.  What a great session and a great way to end the day!
